Summer Garden — Bradford Council

Bradford Council commissioned Raven Staging to design and fabricate 40 collapsible six-seater picnic benches and 40 box hedge planters for the Bradford Summer Garden, a pop-up outdoor space in the city centre. The brief was to provide event infrastructure for the summer while leaving the city with assets it could reuse.

Both have stayed in service. The benches are still used across Bradford Council events, and the planters have become standard kit for marking out crowd zones in place of hoarding or fencing. The project also included hand-cut decorative timber pieces made in our workshop.
