South Square Centre in Thornton commissioned Raven Staging to transform their courtyard and newly refurbished garden with a nautical theme — a project that called for both imaginative fabrication and precise installation across two distinct centrepiece pieces.
The lighthouse was designed to slot over a period Victorian lamppost, so that the existing structure became the lighthouse itself — the lamppost's original lantern forming the working light at the top. The lighthouse body was fabricated and finished in-house, then installed directly over the lamppost in the courtyard, where it remains a permanent feature of the space.
The garden received a buried boat installation — a full boat set into the garden bed, appearing to emerge from the ground as though surfacing through the planting. Both pieces were fabricated and installed by Raven Staging.
